Vexus' main antagonist, Crucifix was once known as Niles Carver, who along with his collegue Abel Soames were selected to compete in The Norgoth Trials. Having succeeded the trials by killing his friend, he was granted powers from The Wellspring and was "honored" with mating with Mother Abigail to conceive the next generation of Abigail. He took the teachings of The Dokkan and twisted it into his version of religion and through his newfound powers created Empire. Along with his acolytes of his Empire, he is seeking to unleash the Horsemen to bring fourth the metahuman apocalypse.

DISCIPLE
Real Name: Victoria Schafer

The enigmatic woman known as Disciple is Crucifix's right-hand-woman. She weilds a shephard's staff that grants her many different abilities, including unlocking meta genes in seedlings that she can add to Crucifix and his acolytes of Empire.

BLIGHT
Real Name: Zarah Fasih
Power: omega level tri-kinetic

Hailing from Morocco, Blight is a mysterious character who is gathering soldiers to compete in The Great Game. Her beauty hides her malicious intent as she will go to any lengths to claim the ultimate prize.

DELPHINE

The high preistess of The Dokkan, the seer known as Delphine has lived a millennia. Along with her sages, she uses her dark magic to bring fourth the coming of The Horsemen.

MOTHER ABIGAIL
Real Name: Abigail (13th Generation)

Once every generation, two men are selected to fight in the Norgoth Trials. The sucessor is granted a fraction of power from The Wellspring as well as having the honor of mating with the current Abigail to conceive the next generation of Mother Abigail. When they come of age, Abigail has a rite of passage ritual where they replace their mother, becoming the next Mother Abigail. This generation's Mother Abigail, 13th of her name, does not follow the teachings of The Dokkan and uses her resorces to branch out globally, selling her services to the highest bidder. Spoiled and malicious, she refused to eliminate her mother, stating she had to pay for her past sins and locked her away in the Tomb of the Forgotten out of spite. It is foretold Mother Abigail will set in motion the events that will lead to the coming of The Horsemen. She has a heated rivalry with Cassandra Locke that will be expanded on in future issues of Vexus.

BEATRICE
Real Name: Beatrice (last name unknown)

In 1785 in a small village outside of Nepal, the woman known as Beatrice was a kind and gracious woman who was beaten to the point of near death and left for dead in the snowy lands. Discovered by Mother Abigail (6th generation), she befriended Beatrice and used Delphine's magic to bring her back to health. She was taken in by Mother Abigail and granted immortality granted by the powers of The Wellspring. Bitter and hateful to a world who had left her for dead, Beatrice now serves Mother Abigail and The Dokkan without question, selecting the poor souls who are to be combatants in the Norgoth Trials and being a mid wife to the next generation of Abigail.

VENUS
Real Name: Sonya Valo
Power: superhuman agility and reflexes; expert swordsman and combatant

Not much is known about the woman named Venus other than her real name. She is the leader of The Ministry, Empire's most elite strike squad, where she carries out Lord Crucifix's orders without question. Once a lover of Apostle, she is the epitome of the phrase "hell hath no fury like a woman scorned".

BLITZ

Once one of the most sought after models in the world, Paige Cruz suffered a massive accident that mangled her face and body. Becoming a recluse, she was approached by Crucifix and Disciple who discovered her dormant meta gene. They offered her the chance to be beautiful forever if she would serve his cause and become one of his acolytes, however it would come at a high cost. The vain and arrogant woman accepted his offer, and through Disciple's staff her body was transformed into a nearly indestructible porcelain, much like a china doll.

MALICE

Not much is known about the man only known as Mr. White. What is known is that he is a polite gentleman who harbors a dark secret. He is a participant in The Great Game, forming an alliance with Shroud, to gather "pawns" to compete in the Great Game and claim the ultimate prize against Blight. He uses these "contestants" like pieces on a chessboard, always thinking three moves ahead.

MASON REED
Real name: Mason Reed
Power: channels energy through his escrima sticks; expert combatant
Team: None (loosley connected to The Great Game; partnered with Vanity Riggs)

Not much is known of the man named Mason Reed. What is known is that he's a ruthless bounty hunter with little to no empathy for life, just as long as he gets paid for his services. He and Vanity Riggs had a sordid past with Boone that will be explored in upcoming issues of Vexus.

VANITY RIGGS

Power: low level telepathic abilities; high-tech

Vanity Riggs is one of the most feared bounty hunters. When her abilities developed, she began hearing voices in her head, little did she know it was her telepathic abilities reading the minds of others. Not trained in her abilities, her psyche cracked and she became insane. Partering up with Mason Reed, she is a participant in the Great Game.

SHROUD

While on an excavation in the Valley of the Kings, archeologist Alec Warner and his team stumbled upon the Black Pyramid, discovering a sarcophagus with ancient hieroglyphs. Upon trying to translate the writings, at that moment the Dokkan began a ritual to bring fourth the coming of the Horsemen. A hand had burst through the sarcophagus and caused a massive explosion. Alec became the Avatar of the Horseman War. Calling himself Brimstone, he is the leader of The Horsemen.

FANTAZIA
Real Name: Shawna West
Power: bio-electric blasts; flight; releases
phermone that causes fatigue and sickness

Once a District Attorney for the state of Arizona, Shawna West was an up and coming lawyer who was revealed to be the vessel for the Avatar of Pestilence. Along with her bio-blasts, she releases a spore that can render her opponets sick and fatigued to the point of death. Her gothic beauty masks her malicious nature to burn the world to ash.

HORDE
Real Name: Bryce Cargill
Power: superhuman agility; razor sharp talons

Bryce Cargill was once a serial killer known as "The New Testament Killer". Apprehended and placed on death row, he was approached by Brimstone and Fantazia and was deemed to be a vessel for the Avatar of Death. He is a cold and calculated killer, being a serial killer before he became a Horseman.

MACABRE
Real Name: Brandon York
Power: superhuman strength; cybernetic arm cannon

Brandon York was a colleague and friend of Alec Warner who was part of a security squad under the employ of Jonathan Archer during a top secret dig in the Valley of the Kings. When the ritual for the coming of the Horsemen commenced, Alec became the vessel of War, sending a devastating blast, mangling Brandon to the point of death. Saved by Genetech, he was granted cybernetic enhancements and was intended to be used as a weapon. But he was instead chosen to be the Avatar of Famine. Brandon York is now the Horseman Macabre.

SEEKA
Real Name: Victoria London
Power: highly skilled combatant; can track anyone with a meta-gene

Smug yet seductive, Seeka is the leader of The Seekers, brought together by the mysterious benefactor Voltek. Her motivation is explored in upcoming issues of Vexus.

JAGGER
Real Name: Lei Su

One of four siblings, Jagger is known as a Harbinger which represents four elements...Mind, Body, Steel and Soul. Being the Harbinger of Mind, he has unbridled telekinetic abilities, though he rarely uses these abilities, prefering to get up close and personal with his daggers.

ALEXANDRA CROWLEY

Murdering his friend and mating with Mother Abigail, he saw himself as an outcast and beyond redemption. Granted powers from the Wellspring, he gained immortality as well as able to unlock "seedlings" with dormant meta genes. Over time he assembles his Fallen with one purpose...the total extinction of Mother Abigail and The Dokkan.
